Bayview Animal Hospital was founded by Dr. Art Ceballos and Erin Burridge, who bring more than four decades of veterinary experience to the Steveston community.
After years caring for local pets and building lasting relationships, they chose to begin a new chapter. Bayview reflects their vision for an independent clinic rooted in continuity of care and a calm, welcoming environment.
Located in the heart of Steveston Village, Bayview feels approachable, personal, and connected to the neighbourhood it serves.

Dr. Ceballos is known for his thoughtful approach, clear communication, and longstanding relationships with clients and their pets. He has practiced in the Richmond area for many years and remains closely connected to the Steveston community.
Art believes great veterinary care is built on trust, continuity, and taking the time to truly understand both the animal and the family who loves them.

Dr. Irene Kong grew up in Vancouver and comes from a family with a background in the pharmaceutical industry. She studied Biochemistry at Simon Fraser University before travelling to Australia to pursue her passion for veterinary medicine. She graduated with honours from The University of Queensland in 2020 and has since worked at veterinary clinics throughout the Lower Mainland.
Dr. Irene Kong has a special interest in small animal dermatology, internal medicine, and geriatric medicine. She is a Certified Senior Dog Veterinarian through the Senior Dog Veterinary Society and has completed lots of trainings focused on senior dog health and wellness. As a senior dog owner, Dr. Irene Kong deeply understands the stress from caring senior pets. She continues to pursue further education in senior pet care, with the goal of helping pet owners better support their pets as they grow older. She particularly enjoys building long-term relationships with her patients and their families and providing individualized care throughout every stage of their lives.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her two labradors, Simba and Chewie. She loves hiking, travelling, and exploring new places with her dogs. She recently picked up golf as a new hobby, so you might find her at a golf course practicing her swing when she’s not at the clinic!
Dr. Irene Kong is fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin and is happy to provide consultations in all three languages.
Dr. Irene Kong 从小在一个医药家庭长大。在她前往澳大利亚攻讀兽医課程前，她就讀於西门菲莎大学生物化学專業。 2020 年，Dr. Irene Kong以优异成绩在昆士兰大学（The University of Queensland）毕业。她之後在大温哥华地区的不同兽医诊所工作，积累了丰富的动物临床经验。
Dr. Irene Kong对于貓犬皮肤科、内科以及老年宠物医学有浓厚的兴趣。她是 Senior Dog Veterinary Society 认证的老年犬兽医，并持续参與有关老年犬健康与护理的课程、讲座及培训。作为一名老年犬的主人，她深深体会到照顾年长宠物所带来的挑战与压力，所以她希望利用专业知识帮助主人们更好地了解宠物随着年龄增长所发生的变化，并为它们提供合适的照护。
工作之余，她喜欢和她的两只狗狗徒步爬山，旅游，以及探索不同的地方。最近她开始学习高尔夫，在閑暇時間，你可能会在高尔夫球场遇見她练习挥杆！

Julia has been working in the veterinary field for over 6 years and has always had a strong passion for animals and their well being. She truly enjoys being able to care for pets and help make their visits as comfortable and positive as possible. Born and raised in Steveston, Julia has always loved being part of the local community. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her Siberian Husky, Loki whether they're going for long walks or exploring somewhere new together. She also loves trying new restaurants and discovering new places. Julia looks forward to getting to know you and your pets and making every visit feel a little more like home.

Aleesha began her adventure in veterinary medicine in 2008, driven by a deep love for animals. Soon after, she attended Douglas College to achieve her goal of becoming a Registered Veterinary Technician. Bringing her journey full circle, she now enjoys teaching and mentoring RVT students from Douglas College during their practicums with us. Over the years, she has developed a strong affinity for emergency medicine and anesthesia, finding great fulfillment in supporting pets through critical moments. Beyond her technical responsibilities, Aleesha's real passion lies in building genuine, meaningful connections with
her patients and providing comfort to the families who love them.

Leanne has lived in Richmond for the last 20 years proudly serving the animal community. She believes every animal should be treated with compassion, understanding and unconditional love. Leanne is a vet assistant with over 5 years of experience.

Danielle’s journey with animal care started back in the Philippines at a young age, where she grew up helping her grandmother run her hobby farm. To turn her passion into a career, she completed the Veterinary Assistant Program in 2021 and has been working in the veterinary field ever since, gaining valuable experience in both general practice and emergency care.
Outside of work, Danielle stays active at the gym lifting weights, gaming, or treating herself to Korean BBQ and hot pot!

Ciara is a Veterinary Assistant with 4 years' experience and a genuine passion for helping animals feel safe, comfortable and cared for. She loves being a part of a team that makes a difference in the lives of pets and their families.
Outside of work, Ciara enjoys spending time with her cat, Theia, who is her favourite little companion.

Bayview Animal Hospital is intentionally independent. This allows us to make decisions based on what’s best for our patients, clients, and team.
